Cincinnati Fire Kites

by Scope & Figure

1.
You've got a lot above your lungs, girl. Your money's coming in a month, girl. You found a place to put your purpose that's superficial at the surface. Your daddy felt that way in grad school, you know he wouldn't put it past you if you just come right out and say it to him. It's funny coming from a carton, and entertainer on the clock and a pair of mirrors from the high road, suburban intuition trifold, and laughing in the face of big names, you're looking pretty on the same plain. The Cincinnati fire kite life cuts your fingers like a dull knife. Broken down and pixellated like your favorite movie screen, she still finds all the spaces in-between them. Choked by all the inhibition, she's got a lot to say, cause a broken window's open anyway. Come alive cause I don't know if you still listen. Come alive cause I don't know if you're still there. Guess a part of you ignited and went missing, All the fire that you kept a tight affair. They always said that she's a faker, she'll take it when she meets her maker. A tightrope walker in a trust-fall is disconnected like a phone call. Don't tell me now. I didn't know you had it in you. (x4) Now everybody calls me crazy, crazy, but I don't see at all, I think they're lying too, everything they see in me I see in you, babe. They only care about the outcome, and all the rest they lose, everything they see in me I see in you, babe. Come alive cause I don't know if you still listen. Come alive cause I don't know if you're still there. Guess a part of you ignited and went missing, All the fire that you kept a tight affair.
